The hotel's proximity to the train station made it an ideal base, just a short 15-minute ride to central Sydney-perfect for exploring the city with my fiancé in tow. Our room, though modest, was delightfully clean and provided comfortable bedding, which suited our short stay perfectly. What delighted us most was the bistro; we indulged in some delicious, hearty fare that didn't break the bank. The selection of beers and cocktails at the bar was a great way to unwind after our adventures. Strathfield Hotel strikes a perfect balance for budget-conscious travelers seeking historic charm and modern conveniences, making it a gem for those who appreciate unique inns and the history that surrounds them.
